Jermell Charlo sent out a clear message to all those who doubt him and his brother, Jermall Charlo.

Jermell Charlo was proud of his twin brother Jermall’s homecoming victory at the NRG Arena in Houston. Jermall (29-0, 21KOs), of Richmond, Texas; made his first appearance as a professional fighter in front of his hometown crowd.

The WBC middleweight champion retained his title by unanimous decision over Brandon Adams (21-3, 13KOs).

“I wanna say congratulations majorly to my twin brother (Jermall),” said Charlo. “He did an amazing job. I got a chance to see him get in there and fight twelve rounds. Not just get the knockout.”

For the Charlo brothers, it served as another triumph in silencing their critics. They’ve both openly expressed their dislike with some of the remarks made towards them by the media.

“They tend to talk so negative about me and my brother,” said Charlo. “But all we want is the top fighters. All we want is to be thorough bred champions that we are. We studs, and a lot of these guys not.”

Recognizing some of those critics in the crowd, Charlo seized the opportunity in singling one of them out.

“And for who it was that think we don’t know our own skin,” said Charlo, pointing directly at a reporter. “Yes we do, we know where we at. Go listen to your own interviews.”
